Sighting and Observing, the difference between a memory and an experience. Visiting national parks in Sri Lanka

Have you ever thought of the difference in sighting and observing wildlife. Personally, to any true wildlife lover observing would be the more rewarding and satisfying experience. Sighting is a mere sight of the animal in a rush. Be it amongst other safari jeeps or just a glimpse of the animal.

But to observe, to really immerse your self in the behaviour and moods of wildlife is a true experience. Where you can watch their actions. Actions that have not been influenced by your presence or altered against their natural state.

Observing Sri Lankan wildlife can be either of the above. Safaris in Sri Lanka can be hasty and rushed where the only memory you would be left with is remembering a big dusty cloud.

Wildlife in Sri Lanka can be observed in more peaceful settings. If you are willing to visit remoter areas where the wild remains wild. Enjoy the little details. Details that mostly go redundant. When travelling in national parks of Sri Lanka. Slow down and enjoy the landscapes, birds, trees, you do not have to rush to see a leopard in Sri Lanka. So if you want to visit a national park in Sri Lanka make sure you enjoy all of Sri Lanka’s wildlife.

Until next time
