A dry hot afternoon at Wilpattu National Park, I was staking out a water hole that was frequented by leopards and bears. While waiting a troop of Grey Langurs found their way along the branches to the waterhole. They had come for some refreshments and the water hole was alive with activity. Young ones playing from branch to branch, the juveniles up to mischief and the mature wiser langurs were sitting around in the shade of the trees.
Taking turns they approached the water hole to drink water. Two langurs sat down together to have a drink, faces side by side they drink to their hearts content.
In search of solace in the wild. I have found my self with a passion for the wilderness and an intimate love for the moments that tell a story of natures ways.
