After an morning drive at Kumana National Park I was headed back to the bungalow for breakfast and to prepare for the afternoon run. It had just stopped raining and the sun was slowly making its way out. Ahead in the distance I noticed a peculiar shape on the rock outcrop. A Black Neck Stork had perched on top of the rock outcrop embracing the warmth of the sun. A rare bird that is seen only in this part of the island I found the sight amazing, normally they are found in the shallows of the lagoons wading in search of a meal.
